do u have to clean sand in a freshwater tank i hate cleaning gravle can i chang to sand and not clean it?

With sand, the poo is lighter than it so all you need is hover the vacuum a few centimeter above the sand and in 45 degrees angle to prevent sand from being sucked quickly. Sand is much easier to clean than gravel in my experience.
