Cleaning sand

May dumb question but what is the best way to clean a 100 lbs of k diamond sand

Put some sand into a bucket(maybe 20lbs or so), insert hose and stir with your hand until the water that runs off is clear. Drain bucket and add sand to tank. Repeat process as necessary.

Pretty much what I do except I fill about 6" of water, stir, pour out water. I feel its quicker than letting a 5g bucket overflow. Actually didi 150# this way last weekend.
