Hello I have three oscars one eight inch pleco and five black belts. Obviously they are all high waste producers. I was wondering what the best way to clean the sand is

sand sucks, that being said, use the vacuum tube and try not to suck up the sand and just get the waist, you are going to get some sand but you want to try to keep in minimal, after some practice you will get the hang of how close you can hover over it. keep an eye on your HoB and canisters filters, sand is very hard on your impellers, even if intake are high, oscars and other are known for grabbing mouths fulls and spitting it out right on the intakes. main reason I switched to gravel some years back.
