so im still in the middle of setting up my 90G SW tank, im new to the trade, i have been keeping FW for 8 years now, any way, one of my lfs is saying that once i get all my rock set up, my cleaners in there and stocked with fish that my cleaning schedual should be to only clean the tank with a gravel vac like once every 4 months, they say that people play around with there tanks to much and the best thing to do is just let it be. now on the other hand i have another lfs saying that i should be doing a 10% water change every 2 weeks and a filter cleaning every 2 weeks. obveously not on the same day but as you can see for some one who is new to SW these two lfs are telling me two completely different cleaning scheduals..help please

Your cleaning schedule is going to depend on what kind of equipment you have, your bioload, and feeding. If you have lot of crap on your rocks and your substrate, then do some vacuuming, and do water changes when your water parameters are outside of an acceptable range.
