Cleaning/sterilizing fish net

How you all sterilize your fish nets? I got one from a local fish store that closed for a long time and I left it outdoor shed since and now I would like to use it. What’s the best and cleaned way to sterilize/clean it so I would not have problems scooping fish.

bleach water,

I soak in diluted bleach water for about 24hr, rinse with clean water, soak in water with a dechlorinator for at least an hour, then air dry.
I've learned the hard way that bleach residue don't completely come free even with a thorough rinsing.
