Cleaning the Sand?

I'm just setting up a saltwater tank and just have a quick question:

How do I go about clearing the sand of debris when I'm cleaning the tank?

i mix some small pea gravel in mine and it seems to clean better

Just use a python and hold it a short distance from the sand. This will pick up the debris pretty well. Doing this, you will still suck a little sand through the python, so just place a bucket in the sink to catch all the sand.

Every time you vacuum your sand, make sure you stir it to inhibit any gas pockets from forming and to get any debris to resurface again.
