Cleaning with bleach

Is it okay to clean an empty aquarium with bleach? It's going to be empty for more than a month and the bleach will only be in it for a day or so. I just resealed the tank about 2 weeks ago so the silicon is still new but cured.

Yes I clean with bleach lots of times. I soak filter cartridges in 50/50 water and bleach.

Not straight bleach possibly some really diluted bleach. Just use white vinegar it's safer.

Okay never mind I changed my mind. I didn't need to bleach the aquarium just something that's going to go inside that is to big to soak anywhere else.

Noting wrong with it, just mix it with water. I do about 80-90% water, 10-20% bleach

I always use diluted bleach on aquariums and soaking supplies in it. Just remember to rinse well and then soak in dechlorinated water (like Prime) to neutralize any bleach residue.
