A while back I wanted to give my Leopard Gecko a larger aquarium so i put it in my empty 38 Gal. Fish Aquarium now I got rid of it and want to use it as a breeder tank but I'm not sure just using hot water and scrubbing at it with a rag will work so that it will be healthy enough for the fish. Does anyone know if I can use anything to cleanse it to make it safe for fish again? The lizard had a good layer of bark under its feet and I never used Chemicals to clean the tank while the lizard was living in it.

chlorine bleach.....and rinse a TON.

I chlorine bleach every tank I get second hand. Kills everything I don't want in the tank.

Unless you were using some type of chemical. All you need to do is rinse it out.
