Cleanup crew for Arowanas?

How about apple snails? Plecos are too messy imo, any ideas?

What exactly are you trying to clean up? Most aros eat floating food, so it is far better and easier to simply not over-feed or scoop out any uneaten pellets. If you're going to feed things like shrimp that sink they almost any mid-bottom feeding large growing fish will work, from cichlids to catfish to loaches...

Clown Loaches are great in a school but I've found that my solo Bichir does a great job of cleaning up un eaten food.

what about flagtails? I have them with my discus and they do a great job by cleaning all the algae and leftover foods.
