Right now my doviis water is very clear,i do two water changes a week.one is 25% and the other is a 50% water change.should i be doing more.

no your doing plenty as long as the filtrations good.

You sound like your doing enough, don't forget you've only got teh Dovi in the tank.

Unless your over feeding you could cut it down to two 25% a week or even just one 35%.

I would have to disagree with 50% a week being too drastic. Isn't it more important to keep nitrates down than to have a change in water parameters once a week? If it's working for you large_cichlids, I wouldn't change it.

I have to disagree as well. 50% are a good water change a week. I do on my tank about a 60% water change a week. Some times more some times less. I do such big ones because I like to keep my tank sparkling clean also because my driftwood makes blackwater in which I don't like that much.

Have to agree with Rallysman.What is the point of doing a 50% or more w/c if a 30% w/c is enough to keep your nitrates low and in check.Test your water and it will tell you.
