Clear PVC

So I've heard people using clear PVC for both security for the knife fish, and ability to view while inside. My question is what size does everyone get, and where did they get it? I'm getting a Black Ghost Knife, and would love to get some for him.

They actually sell clear plastic tubes for Black Ghost Knife check your lfs. Btw the tube is for smaller knives.
 
the tubes I use are 2.5" I actually got them with a trade on the local forum. However my both of my knives, afer and BGK, don't use them. However my bichirs, ropefish, eels, elephant nose, and even plecos(that can fit) use them

i order clear pvc from pvc fittings online to make media reactors out of. not cheap but they have just about every size imaginable. ive ordered 2" and 3" tubes in 5' lengths
 
yeah its not cheap. they kill you on shipping too, well granted i ordered around 30' worth of pvc. totally worth it though! ive ordered tons from them
 
i actually found them talking to a custom reef tank company out here that does public displays in offices and what not. they use the clear in their plumbing for super sensitive systems and expensive displays so they can monitor the filtration more completely
 
I found some Polycarbonate tubing, extremely cheap. It was around $60 for 4' of 2 1/2" ID x 2 3/4" OD. That's shipped. Look up Plastic-Craft.
