i just got a long finned senagalas and put him in my 20 gallon for bulking, hes been in there about a week along with my clown loach.
i noticed today that there are hundreds of these clear sacks attaching to the glass and the thermometor. is this the start of an alge bloom?
i have the tank stationed by a window and i let them get natural light in every day and when i get home i put the light on for a few hours.
it doesnt seem to me that i have too much light on them but not 100 percent sure. they get 8 or so hours of natural light and 3 hours of artificial light.

Clear sacks? try to get a pic? How large is the clown loach? It's highly unlikely, but possible that it laid eggs. Could it be snail eggs? I don't know of any algae that looks like sacks initially.

i put my pleco in there this morning thinking it might be an algae bloom and left the lights off

it be little air bubles forming on the glass

we've heard of it, but there are too many things that are similar to what you describe... could be eggs, could be excess food a fungus etc... we need a visual to help distinguish... i kno you worried but we r helping you here... relax... take a breather.. snap some pics, and i guarantee a minuter after u post those pics you will have an answer

well when i got home they were gone i think the pleco took care of what ever it was
if it happens again ill snap some pics
thanks for the help
