After reading some posts it seems some people don't know the difference. When it comes to me importing hybrids like these the grades told are as follows:

SRT (Super Red Texas) Which is the full red body with the orange red speckles known as pearls
RT (Red Texas) Those are the texas body shaped fish that have reddish finnage, possibly a reddish body but green pearls

But the thing about these species is that there are grade levels: Show (A) , B, C, & Dithers.

SRTs are only sold as A or Show Grade with only a few that are B grades due to lesser pealing (showing of the red) and finnage deficiencies. These guys usually start price range of around $100 USD for fry and obviously move up.

RTs are basically the C grade or below. They are of SRT blood but do not show the genetic traits of their parents. Basically they did not 'peal' into the red phase, which is the most sought after trait. These guys usually range from $15-30 USD for 2-3 inchers so don't get caught in a trap when a place is selling a 2-3 inch fish labeled SRT for under 30 bucks cause 95% don't peal to the SRT.

I'll post pics to differentiate the species as soon as I get home. Any other questions about the species or any import hybrid feel free to PM me. If it's about SRTs post on here cause it will probably benefit for everyone else :D

I've been importing them in privately after seeing all the junk most people sell...
Even the store I work in can't always get the stuff that needs to be sold, except for a red snake import we have in now, hope it goes to a good home :D
