Hello this is My 11 month old MBU.. i got him when he was 3" and he/she is 17" inches. I got 2 of them at the same time i moved to a new place and unfortunately my other one passed on :irked:.. Ive been feeding raw shrimp, crayfish, claims, snails, nightcrawlers and massivore pellets. i just thought i would share my puffer i named Cletus lol. is the growth rate good? and is there anything else i can get to feed does anyone feed cockles? And Clets Beak isnt really visiable anymore.. am i feeding too many shelled foods? any feedback would be great.. thanks for looking :grinno:

Nice looking mbu. His growth rate seems fine although he actually seems fairly thin. His diet seems appropriate as well. How long has he been with the ray and have you had any problems? Do you remove the broken shells immediately so they don't bother the ray? I'd love another one but don't want to risk my rays.

lovely MBU, not thin at all hes in great shape.

Knock on wood he has been fine with my rays for the past 2 months.. I upgraded him to my 300G and he blew up 2" in size lol. as for the snail shells i pull them after he is done eating i wish i had a better way to clean up after him but i guess it takes a little more work to have a pretty cool fish.. before he was in the 300G he was in a tank with 11 discus, a 16" fire eel, a 8" pair of fine spot bushynose,a ton of BN fry and about 40 cardinal's. . he now gets about a 70 gallon waterchange per day so the bio load with the rays dont get too high. does anyone have any advise? is it crazy for me to have him in with my rays or the other fish because everyone tells me he should be kept alone. does anyone know how to upload videos? i have a couple cool ones id like to share.. and thanks for the kind comments :)

I parted with mine when I started getting rays. My old mbu did bite several fish, mostly slow moving bottom dwellers so I didn't want to chance it with the rays. They aren't mean at all just curious and like to "sample" things. Great fish.

nice! what size tank

I'm giving some thought to another one:) I have motoro, marble, pearl and leoxbd so I'd be risking a lot.
