Most importantly do they have any cool fish? Their website doesn't list much, and all the threads here are old

Also, how's the zoo?
I see its also a botanical garden, but I'm guessing its pretty early in the year for that

Lastly, besides somethingfishy, are there any lfs or pond type stores worth checking out??

Thanks

I think it was the Cleveland zoo that had the tank of huge ~40" niger cats. Its been a few years since I've been there but its worth checking out.

cleveland's zoo is very nice imo, their aquarium is pretty solid (although a heck of a walk uphill to get there) especially their big catfish (RTC/Niger) they also have a couple massive silver aro's, a tang cichlid display, electric eel display, salt displays....a very very nice/large native display.

yeah the fish part is very nice. just took the kids in march they loved it. second that long uphill walk

Toledo zoo had 2x 40" niger ...

Where's doubledragon and the other northern ohioans ?!?

Sorry just saw this thread.
Yeah, it's definatelly worth the trip, considering you'd only be driving like 2hrs. Big aro's, big rtc, big ausie lungs, big pacus, big nigers, and other nice fish. I'd go to the rainforest first, then as soon as you get into the actual zoo, hop on the tram and it will take you all the way up to the fish, cat, and monkey house. Then just come back down hill and see whatever you want. Make sure you hit the place with the wolves, they also have a very large native fish display.
Already been there once this year, but we picked the worst time to go. Spring Break!!! Lot's of people!!!!!!!!! Have to go back a few more times later this year.

Let me know when your'e going. I'm only 10 min or so out of your direct path to the zoo. You're more than welcome to stop by and check out the fish. I'm picking up a pond similar to yours 2morrow, 13'-6'-2.5"deep. And yesterday I snagged a 7500gph pump for it. Can't wait to move some of the koi out this year...

Rms, is a good store, large variety, great prices.
Been to neptunes once. Need to go there again. Some impressive fish.
If your looking for koi, Waterfall gardens is a must stop. Call ahead make sure William is going to be there. He owns it but is not always there. Most impressive collection of koi I have ever seen. I won't buy from nobody else!!! Quarinteens everything before he sells it to the public, to make sure no disease.
