I know a lot of you have been awaiting updates, and finally I caught him swimming! Ben, these are for you!
I only see him actually swimming, once a day, if even that! In the photo with the gar, he is not going after the gar, it just looked that way.

He looks great! Nice and fat. Really happy to see him being taken good care of!
 
I would have to guess that it is either a species from the ompok genus (o. bimaculatus would be my guess, because it looks like it has a sharper head than mine which I think is o. siluroides), mature or almost fully grown, or a juvenile of a species from the silurus genus, which seems less likely but I suppose it is possible.

To the "Ompok guy" - you're on the right track - it IS less likely but he IS a Silurus.
