So about 2 am I wake up hearing a loud noise which sounded like my wolf fish hitting the glass cover on my 75 gal next to my bed so I turned the led light on the calm him down back to his cave....the lights now on....I still hear the noise...me being half awake it scared the crap out of me when I turn the lamp on and find my wolf fish flopping around across the room on the carpet. I rushed up to turn the other light on and grabbed my net. While I'm trying to get close enough to my wolf he is flopping up about a foot off the floor and trying to bite me while I'm netting him. So I finally net him and put him back in the tank. He was covered in hair but looked fine. I know there air breathers but it still scared me to death seeing my wolf on the floor at 2 in the morning. Not sure how he managed to jump up and push open the glass lid seeing as its pretty heaving. I covered the lid with 2 bricks I had in my room and a book. Also I left the led lights on for the night to keep him from being active. Not sure why he decided to jump but I'm sure it happens all the time to people, just kinda scared me since that's the first time I was home to see him on the floor. I've only had a catfish and rope fish jump out and dry up before. Lucky I'm a light sleeper and I saved my wolf.
