some shots i took last night when the wife had the camera out for something else. my favorite one is of the tail - how many colors totally can you see from it?
will post the video link later.
btw, i also notice that my jar is fine with the lighting now. he used to hate it very much.
i think this jar is a male because of all those facial marking's and scars...i haven't seen one with a face quite like his...
ctoychik: i've been feeding him less because of protruding anus, which is almost gone now. i pointed it out to my wife too last night that he's looking slimmer now so i better stop the strict/reduced diet. will increase the feeding gradually. thanks for the feedback.
bderick: you must have mistaken me with another member. my jar has never had lateral line erosion and hence never raised the issue. only some small holes on the jar's head made me thinking/worrying about possible HITH, but since they are all symmetrical i don't think it's HITH. plus, i did the water treament anyway (25% every 2 days) just to be sure but that made no difference, meaning the holes were/are still there. it's no longer a concern though. thanks for checking in on that anyway.
thanks. only the two 12" pleco's survived so far as his mates. the last mate that got moved was a 12" bala shark which was very quick, but still not quick enough!, so when i saw some very deep bite markings on its body, i gave it away. i think the key to getting along with him is for the pleco's not moving around much.
