Cloud archerfish problem (Toxotes blythi)

I could definitely see the dats coming up and bothering them when it's lights out for the night. I've had more issues with cichlids and damage from overnight fights than any other time. It's even possible they're infighting at night when you're not aware of it.

Just one quick note about conventional archerfish: I had one many years ago that got goiter. Raised scales, etc., just right around the gill plate. Treated with iodine, it stopped growing, but because activated charcoal takes out iodine, I couldn't filter the water; this was >25 years ago, when I thought AC actually filtered the water. Anyway, I put the AC back in, the goiter continued to grow, and the fish succumbed to the goiter.

So I absentmindedly wonder if the salt that was added was iodized salt or not.

I forgot about this thread
I split the group but there was infighting until only 6 are left. They get on fine and are by themselves. I gave the dats a bad rap; they have only been harassing each other.
