Cloudly eyes

A few weeks ago my sen had one cloudy eye, i just figured my endli tried to eat it again and got it again. Well i did i kept up with my normal wc routine and added some salt and the eye cleared up. I just noticed now that my endli and del have one cloudy eye and i dont know whats causing it. My sen lap and palmas all have clear eyes. I tested my water with an api test and had no traceable ammonia and nitrite, not sure about nitrate i ran out.

Just wondering if my test could be bad, or do you think the cloudy eyes are caused by tankmates. Tankmates are a green terror, convict, and firemouth.

Sounds more likely related to water quality. I would check the expiration on your water test kit or bring a sample to your lfs to check for you

pics? If your water quality is "perfect" it could be an eye injury caused by the cichlids.

Cloudy eyes = it's time to do water change? Make sure to treat water with chlorine removal/water conditioner

I had a irridesant shark that had this happen to him. I did a good water change and put in a dose of quick cure just as good measure. I can't tell you if it was the water or meds that fixed it but it went away in a few days.

some fish or sensitive to acid water and ammonia surges try more water changes. Good Luck

Well i forgot all about the test exp. They are over 6months past. So i will do a few extra water changes untill i can get new tests.

Also i do 60/70% water changes every sunday. So should i wait till tue or just do another when i get home from work today?

What kind of decorations do you have with them? With your water change schedule I doubt it is the water. Most likely from abrasion.

Some rocks for caves. A plastic log/plants and some driftwood.
