Did my usual water changes on all of my tanks. but the largest tank got cloudy. this is the first time it has done this. i didnt clean out the media or do anything different from the time before. all the other tanks that got new water are all clear. what could have happened?

Next time do a basic set of water parameters on the the tank (test it for PH, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite) and then test the tap water for the same and compare.

Then test the tank after the water change.

It MAY be a result of a swing in water chemistry?

No substrate so can't be that. I'm gonna need a new test kit. But why is it only this tank that got cloudy and not the others

If something upset the balance in this one tank then it would only show on this one.

Maybe use the test kits to test a comparison against the other tanks

Sometimes the water coming out of my tap can be a bit hazy, and you can definately see it in the tank, but it generally clears up within a few hours. It's never caused a problem.
