So I have a 40 gallon tank with a 5" Nandus Nandus, 7" Hydrolycus Tatauaia, 5-6" Ageneiosus catfish and a few smaller catfish.
The tank has been having ick and velvet problems off and on, and the last time I treated the tank with quinine sulfate, which appeared to work pretty good. The tank has been disease free for a couple of weeks. A couple days ago though, I thought I saw ick on my Ageneiosus catfish. Upon closer inspection, there were less than ten spots and they were all actually tiny fungal patches. Around the same time, my Nandus Nandus's eye began to bulge and turn cloudy. I stepped up water changes to maybe three times a week to try to keep it down.
Normally the tank gets waterchanged weekly, but even when changed biweekly, pH remains constant and there is no detectable ammonia or nitrite.
The tank is 40 gallons and I have a XP2 canister filter and an AC30 HOB filter. The temperature is usually between 82-84 degrees since the fish seem to get sick at lower temperatures.
I could not get a picture of the catfish, but I got one of the Nandus.
