cloudy smelly water

my water in my 150 is smelly and cloudy. all the thinks in it are very slimey. so i am thinking its a alage bloom or something. so what can ido do fix it thanks alot

this is what i will do...

1. do a 30% water change
2. stop feeding
3. add carbon for couple days
4. turn off the light...

I would also add more filtration if possible

The first thing I would do is check the water peramiters. Cloudy can mean amonia. It might be that your bacteria needs a boost. I would definatly do water changes also. If it is amonia, increasing airaition will help drive some of it into the air. But I think it's very important to check the water chemistry first.

The first thing I would do is put another established filter on the tank. Then water change. No washing filters in anything but water from the tank and don't be too rough.
Water column bacteria blooms are common in ammonia blooms too.
