Okay...IDK why but my 180 gallon is usually always cloudy....but my 55 gallon and other tanks are not. The 180 gallon has 4 HOB filters: 2 rated at 400 GPH+, 1 at 330 GPH+, and 1 at around 100 GPH+. I also have 3 Powerheads in there doing around 600 GPH+ of water circulation. I don't know why but the tank seems to be cloudy all the time except for maybe 2-3 days once things clear up a little then back it goes to being cloudy.... It's been setup for almost a year now and the parameters of the tank is:
0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite
20-25 PPM Nitrate
6.8-7.2 PH
82-84 Degrees
I do around 25%-30% WC a day so I don't know if that is the reason why the tank if being cloudy or what.... BTW the water from my tap is around
0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 0 Nitrate, and around a perfect 7.0 PH
Is it because I haven't cleaned my media from the HOB or what? I mean if there isn't a problem with Nitrite and anything I shouldn't really check the filters.....
I also suspect It to be a bacterial bloom but why is the tank always constantly having them or what is the deal here.....
Thanks all and sorry for the long writeup but the cloudiness is driving me insane!
