cloudy tank

So my tank is cloudy i have not checked the nitrite or nitrate or ammonia levels the ph is perfect how long does it take a tank to cycle if it looks like this? A guess is fine an appreciated this is driving me nuts an im doing 30% water changes an no more so i dont kill the benificial bacteria this is after 2 days of a water change

im pretty sure its cycling and it can take up to a month

if there are fish in there i would stick to 30% daily waterchanges

How long have u had this tank up?? Do you stock fish in it??? From the first pics it looks like you have an algae bloom, or maybe its just the plant reflection.. But if its an algae bloom..

it is an algae bloom, most likely triggered by an ammonia spike. I see no fish, which tells me the tank is new. Do you leave the lights on all the time? what is a perfect pH? What are the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels? All these things are needed to know to help you deal with the problem.

Takes about a month to get a tank cycled. I can't see fish in it, if there's no fish, don't do any water changes.

If this is a new tank and has no fish than maybe it is a good idea to throw some feeders in there to help with the cycling... but out of curiosity can there be an algae bloom if the tank is new???

Yes, there can be an algae bloom if the tank is new. Most water from the tap contains enough stuff to grow microalgae. It will die off as the nutrients are used up, but will release those nutrients back into the water as it rots, so removing the source is the only short term answer. Long term, let the filtration establish itself, it will go away once things reach equilibrium.

if u can get some tetra safestart i set up a 125g a week ago and its almost thro the cycle or get ur self some bb benifical bacteria.....i cant spell but u get it .....itll go faster if no fish in the let it go and cover with a blanket ...lol....for real dude it drove me nuts i wanted to throw a hammer at mine......

i see fish .....in there if they r hardy enough let it go ....i was told throw fish in and forget about it ..so i got oscars ...hmmm them died...get feeders and throw them in less $$
