I'm Where I'm At
I have a jebo 828 on my 120g for about 3 months and then I added another used jebo 828 which came with bioballs that I boiled, I bought new biomax, activated carbon bag and Amonia remover bag and my water was crystal clear for a few weeks. At first params were good, then because of stock and over feeding:

params: ph was 6, amonia was about 40, nitrite 40, nitrate about 40-80
temp 80-82 deg F.

Did 50% wc, added ammolock, Nitrabon and ph up and tested water again a few days later and params were:
ph 6.4, amonia still 40, nitrite 0 and nitrate 40, temp 80-82

At this time water is still crystal clear. amonia still present but supposed to be in non toxic form and the filters should filter it out and should start to go down. Continued using ammolock and nitrabon for a few days.

All of a sudden one day that week my water got cloudy overnight literally. Did another 50% water change and params were still
ph 6.4, amonia 40, nitrite 0 and nitrate 40, temp 80-82

water still cloudy after 2 days,..................... I will do another water change but what else can I do??? :( I add salt also everytime for the new water.

I would keep doing partial water changes and maybe vacuum the substrate (if you have gravel). It will go away, but may take a few days. I had a similar problem when I cycled my tank. It was crystal clear, but after adding a bunch of fish it got quite cloudy. I did add a BB supplement, it was suggested by the LFS owner and seemed to help.

It sounds like a mini cycle. If you can. back off on the waterchanges. I would only do one if the ammonia gets to high. Let the tank cycle out. I might think about adding some biospria.

Ziggy, i'm a noob, what's "mini cycle"? And backoff on the water change?? When should I do my next one?? Only do one what?? Ammo lock and Nitrabon?? You mean only use ammo lock????

what's biospria and where can i get some? (not that I won't check my lfs but just asking for quick answer if possible)

thanks guys for responding!

check your phosphates and nitrates... cut down on food and keep doing 20 percent water changes daily or otherday
