Your going through a cycle, your ammonia is going to get alot higher than what it is now. What kind of fish are in the tank?

You bought a 150g tank, but you don't know what the Nitrogen Cycle is?

C'mon bro, read up before you spend your $$!!

Get any fish out of the tank and temporarily house them in an established environment if you can.. Do small partial water changes, and add any bacteria colonizing additives you can. If you can steal some Biological Media from a friend with an established tank, this will help too..

you can also check your lfs and see if any of them sell Bio spira . I've never used it but have heard wonderful things about it. It probably will cost a fair amount of money to add enough for a 150 gallon tank, but it would definitely help out the fish you have. :)

bacteria bloom. o_O
the only thing you can do is wait, or add the crap from other filter cartridges, or get that bio spira. depending on how hardy your fish are, they will probably make it through the cycle, but might be more prone to disease later on.
