So my 65 gallon tank seems to have a bit of a haze in it... It's a relatively new tank but has a ton of filtration and was started with stuff from my mature 75 gallon tank. I'm a bit confused, it just randomly got cloudy and won't go away. I did a water change and it cleared up for a while, but this morning the cloud was back. My main concern is that something died and I can't see it. The way the rock in the tank is setup would make it extremely difficult to go digging through, and I don't want to freak out the new fish I have in the tank.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking I just need to let it settle out, but I wanted more opinions.

Ahh I didn't think about that. If it is shouldn't I just ride it out? I think it's a combination of a few things; the algae that I used to seed the tank is dieing off and reforming under the different lighting conditions from the tank I pulled it out of, there were a couple fish murders thanks to small shell dwellers and frontosas... and there was one death of a small Juli. ornatus.

I'm not really sure though, is there anything I can put in the tank to help out?

dont do anything but small 20% water changesher day this just happened to my 240 and I'm leaving it alone

I had that happen in mine, I called my lfs and he told me it was either a bloom or more than likely it was microscopic airbubbles. He said that once water reaches a certain maturation point it can no longer hold anymore. It will clear up though

yeah it will go away on its own-just be patient. nothing more than a bacterial bloom (if its a milky whitish color). if its a green tinge its algae-limit your light and feedings.
