cloudy water???

I have a 125 gal tank with eight juvenile piranha's in it. The tank has been up and running for four months now and has been crystal clear for a while now. I change the water every week. I just got home and the water has turned cloudy..... any guesses???

check ur filters.. maybe one of them shut off...

or did u change the filter pads recently? you could have crashed your cycle.. which is what it seems like to me..

Im running one eheim and one xp2. The xp2 was added recently to replace my old filter. I also added pura complete to one of the filters, but this was well over two weeks ago.

what color cloudy? Cloudy white is a bacteria bloom, cloudy green is an algae bloom, cloudy brown could be tannins from peat or wood, sand or gravel??

it sounds like a crashed cycle..

test your water..

if ur nitrites and/or ammonia aren't reading near 0 then u successfully crashed ur cycle
