hello everybody. Im new to this forum.
I have a 100g fish tank, hooked up to a 700gph pond pump, attached to a 2gal canister pond filter. i just cleaned the tank & filter and did a 75% water change and 1 day later the water is cloudy again. I have 2 blood parrots, 2 oscars, 1 green terror. does anybody have any suggestions, ideas, possible fixes? thank you for your help.

Welcome to mfk! Did you rinse off the media in the canister before you started it up (helps to remove dust)

Also did you rinse the substrate and any decor before adding? Is this an established tank that has been cycles or is it a fairly new setup?

I rinsed everything before I put it in my tank. I set it up & let it run for 2 weeks prior to adding any fish. Within 3 days of adding fish it started to get cloudy. Changed water and cleaned tank/filtration after 3 weeks. Again it starts to become cloudy fairly quickly. Thank you for responding

Check you ammonia levels, sounds like the tank is cycling

Your tank is going through a normal, with fish cycle.
Running an empty tank for any period of time without an ammonia source is just wasting time.
The nitrogen cycle began when you added your first fish.
Keep an eye on your ammonia and water change as needed.

Yeah I concur...sounds like it just just going through the normal cycle. Dont rinse filters again...just let it run....check your ammonia and nitrites...do water changes as needed and keep an eye on those fish. You can ask a LFS if you can have a handful of gravel from one of their tanks and hang it in yours in a filter bag....that works miracles with getting good BB into your tank and will help clear it up sooner! Keep us updated!
