hi guys ive had my tank set uo for about 4 months and water is always crystal clear i did a 50 percent water change last bite and woke up this morning and water is very cloudy a white cloud no ammonia or nitrites present what is causing this

you may have stirred up some resting debris... try and wait it out, if not then another water change perhaps..

I could be silicates or fine detritus in the water or it could be a bacteria bloom. To remove the silicates you could go with a phosphate remover, if it's small particles in the water you could give a micro-filter a try and if its bacteria I would go with water changes, let nature take its course or a more expensive option would be a UV sterilizer.
