Cloudy water

I was wondering what are usually causes of cloudy water. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary lately and yesterday when i got home my water was cloudy. I ran my tests and they came out fine (PH,ammonia, nitrite, nitrate). My alkalinity was about 2.5 mEq/l. Any ideas???????????

Sounds like a bacteria bloom or a algae bloom. I have had a bacteria bloom I just skimmed alittle wetter and did a couple of Water Changes.

Agreed A quick fix as well as good would be some Purigen But thats just my opinion

thanks, i'll try the water change and skimmer adjustment today. maybe ill get a uv filter some day

Also you might be able to add some fresh carbon too.
