My final resort to rid my tank of Hydra (I think) is to use Clout. I'm a little afraid to use this for 2 reasons. One, is that I've read it will stain the silicone. But is it going to permanently stain it, or will it eventually come out? My second concern is that I've read contradicting things on Clout's affect on biologicals. Some websites say it will wipe out all bacteria, while other websites say it is completely safe for established tanks. The fish in the tank is not sick, the tank itself is what needs to be treated as the Hydra are covering the glass. I was going to dose 1 or 2 tabs for a 55 gallon, where as the instructions say 1 tablet per 10 gallons. Will this medication affect my biologicals at all? Any help at all is greatly appreciated.
