Clown Fish

So ive got a reg clown in my tank now and was wondering if i could add a smaller maroon clown for a potential pair. I know clowns can be funny about other clowns, just curious if you'll think they'll get along?

i dont think u can pair 2 different clowns together and the maroon clown is kind of aggressive..just get one big regular clown and one smaller regular clown and then they would be a pair..the big one will be the female and the small one will be the male.

Yeah, i figured i could get a smaller or larger reg clown, but didnt know about two diff clowns workin together. They have some little baby maroons that are hardly an inch at the lfs. My reg clown is about 2inches. Guess it still wouldnt work with the size difference?

if they have 2 maroon clowns there then you can get them but keep in mind they have have to be in different size or else they wont be a pair..

If i found a pair of maroons, my reg clown would be the odd one out. They would really not get along then. Theres no way my kids are goin to get rid of their original nemo.

Nope the Maroon would most likely not tolerate the other clown and it will get much larger than an ocellaris or a precula and then they would have gotten rid of your original nemo. Sometime a larger tank you can do a few diffrent clowns but usually not with a maroon. Have you looked at clarkiies, tomatos, or skunks
