LOL so you have a goddamn eating machine. Feed it 3 times a day it will grow 1 to 2 inches per month but you have a massive waste issue. I have 2 that are 27+ inches each. serouisly I feed them dry cat or dog food. Twice a week. Bc other methods are just too damn expensive.. But to show them off when company is over ill toss feeders in there. I Keep feeders in a seperate tank in the living room
Whats really interesting about feedin these guys is they are "dramaqueens" when it comes to eating.
Say i toss in a pellet of dry food. Once the pellet is located by afeatherback it will hover for a half second below it and in quarter second flash from 5 inches below the surface envoluping the pellet and going back a foot or two down below the surface.
The action happens so fast it sounds like 6 inch rock got lobbed into my fish tank Sending water everywhere.
Whats funny is sometimes they are so dramatic about getting the pellet they will completely miss the pellet LOL. They also will do this move when i drop some feeders in the tank. I think they do it to get some oxygen in their gills to get amped up for the kill.
Plz dont reply to this if you have not owned a Featherback, Clownknife less then a year!!!!! Or if your CK is less then 10 inches! Troll on. This type of eating style didnt develop till after the first year of ownership.
I want behavoir feedback from experienced owners
with knifes older then 1 year if they also have this same behavoir.
