Guys, right now my fish are all small. The one that I'm concerned about is the red tail shark and the clown knife. When the clown knife gets bigger, will it eat my shark? The shark gets 6-7 inches, I was told, but can defend itself well. Will the CK end up killing it when it gets larger? Will I have to keep it in a seperate tank?

I have my fish in a 10 gallon now since they are so small. I will move them to a 55 when they get bigger. I have a 150 for the ck and other fish when they get larger. Will I have to leave the shark in the 55 or can I move it to the 150 with the ck? It actually eats the algae off the rocks in the tank!

In A 150 the ck will probably get stunted at about 18" so the rtb shark should be ok with it at that size

Wow. What size tank should I get for Christmas the CK to grow at least 2 feet?

I'd say around 250-300!

I don't think I will be able to get 250-300. Maybe a 180-220 though. I thought I had a 200, but it turned out to be a 150. It was given to me, so I cannot complain. :D

They should be fine for the time being, but when the CK starts getting past 15" I would separate them just to be on the safe side.

Yeah a 200 should be fine!

I don't care what tank you have them in the CK will eventually eat your shark-240 gallons is more than enough for a CK-very rare that they surpass 2 feet in captivity.

Thanks! This is what I wanted to know. The CK will definately eat the red-tail shark. I thought it would and I just wanted confirmation. The guy at the store told me that the shark can hold its own against larger fish, but I thought the CK would be too much for it.
