All the information and stickies I read on clown knives say they do not get along once they are bigger but I am increasingly seeing people having multiple clowns in a tank together.

Is all the information I am reading misinforming or do people not realize what will happen once there clowns mature?

The reason I am asking is that I just got an albino clown and think it would look cool to have a regular clown in there with him.

Compatibility:
When young, these fish are comfortable in groups, but as they mature, they much prefer to live singly. Adult specimens will not tolerate another Clown Knife or similar species in their tank, though, there has been success with raising young Clown Knives together to adulthood. They also cannot be kept with smaller fish of any kind, as anything small enough to fit in their mouth will be considered as food and they will often take a snap at larger fish, just on the off chance they may get a meal out of it. Clown Knives tolerate large tankmates quite well, often ignoring attempts by territorial cichlids to chase them off. This can sometimes lead to problems with injuries being inflicted, although the clown will usually retreat to its hiding place before any major conflict occurs.

It really boils down to individual Knives and their personalities, but raising them at a small size gives you a better chance of raising multiple Knives. If you were to buy a new larger CK to put in with an existing large CK...territories have been drawn and more likely will not be excepted, but again...individual personalities.

Ive never seen 2 or more larger then say a foot? In the same tank.... No matter how big.... But i havent seen every tank either.... If urs is small and u want one try it and maybe u will be lucky.... But just incase your not have an extra tank to put one in and have an outlet that you can sell one too just incase it doesnt work out
