just put my 6-7 inch new clown knife in my oscar tank and my oscar keeps going near him and it looks like my oscar wants to eat him. so sometimes i push him away because it trips me out. what should i do?

Seperate them ASAP. They will eat the clown knife.

its wierd because my oscar doesnt try to eat his feeder. but goes for the ckf just to push him around.

How big is the Oscar? If you introduce a new fish into a tank with an existing Cichlid, it will protect it's territory. Try rearrange the decor and/or remove the Oscar for a few days.

One thing to do fast is to get a cave or hiding place for the knife.. that oscar is definitly going to snatch the baby.. you can also separate with a screen .. make two sections by dividing the tank.. and the best move is to take the knife out until he is grown alot more.. and give him his own tank .. theres just no way the oscar is going to let it be..and when the opportunity strikes he may be ready..

so far hes been coming out at night when the oscar i think is kind of sleeping. and eats the bloodworms that i throw in there before lights out. the clown knife goes back in his cave right when he notices that the oscar is looking straight at it. ill give it a couple more days. thanks a whole bunch guys
