Yep, never cohab Turtles with fish. That'd be like cohabbing me with a piece of pizza... that was much to large for me to eat, yet take debilitating chunks from it.

Metaphors were never my thing

ive seen videos on youtube with res and plenty of fish. just thought i would give it a try.

Well, just because you see videos on youtube of someone mixing fish with other things, doesn't mean its ok and will work...& I agree with everyone else whose posted, you should not mix them. Turtles also get really sharp claws and can tear out fish's eyeballs...I've heard many stories of them doing that, so its best not to mix them...this isn't the only reason why I think you should not mix them, there are many more reasons

well on my personal exp.. i have a soft shell turtle in one of my tank's and it's ben there for 4 months and i haven had any problem at all.. but every case is diffrent..

Not recommended. Turtles will basically kill or harm any fish, even plecos probably aren't anything for them to kill. There have been stories of softies living with other fish though.
