I'm going through a problem with my clown knife not eating

I took him out of a 180G and into a 450G last Saturday and he is yet to eat a thing.

The water parameters are the same as the tank he came from
PH 7.0 - 7.2
ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
nitrate 5.0

He swims around and acts like he is looking for live food but wont eat his pellet or white bait witch he use to love . He has never been fed live food before

Any Ideas ?

How long can he go without food ?

Fish can go without food for a long time (dependent on the species and it's maturity)so don't worry to much he probably is still acclimatising to the "BIG" new tank.
A move to unfamilar surroundings can be stressful to a territorial fish species.
My Leichardti just started eating again after moving from a 180g into a new 260g.
It took me a week to get him to learn where to go to take the frozen meat I drop in for him. Stick with it and be consistant, remember to remove uneaten food unless you have bottom feeders like plecs or other cats.
A 180g to a 450g is a big jump how big is your CK and have his tank mates changed?? Any pics too??

yea nothin to worry too much about, how big is he? no animal will starve itself when food is present, its probably just adjusting

He is around 20 -22 inches I have had him since he was around 3 inches almost 2 years now, There is always bloodworm in the tank as my young PBass loves it along with hikari,White bait and orca large sinking pellet

I hope he comes right in the next couple of days, I think he has taken a nip at my Aro as it has now got split fins.:irked:

If he doesn't eat by the weekend I will be putting him back into the 180G especially if he goes the Aro again.

Here is a pic of him in the 180G

A CK that big can probably go for a month or two without eating.
