I have a clown knife fish that I found lying under his ship he hides in. Upon inspection I found he had popeye and a small wound behind his eye (kind of on his cheek). I moved him to a 10 gallon tank alone and started treating him with Maracyn 2, a little aquarium salt and started raising the temperature. I also started doing 20% water changes daily. The cycle for Maracyn 2 is 5 days. After the 5 days, his popeye and wound were cured. It did not appear that he was eating. I tried frozen brine shrimp and frozen blood worm. I used a turkey baster and squirted it right on his nose. I would give him about 10 minutes then suck the food back out. I also tried putting a few 3/8 to ½ inch fry in with him to see if he would eat them. The 4 fry are doing well and growing rapidly J But, he is still not eating (at least not that I can see). It has been about 2 ½ weeks now. Oh, I started doing the recommended treatment after the Maracyn 2 dose was finished. Is there anything else I should (or should not) be doing? He swims around on occasion and appears to be fine outside of not eating.

I have the temp up to between 80 and 82. By the way, the recommended treatment is adding aquarium salt to the water and dosing with quick cure. I am only adding 1/2 of the dose because I have heard to treat the ck like a scaleless fish.
I have heard of clown knives not eating but 2 and a half weeks is a long time! The longest mine has ever gone was 9 days. There is probably something wrong with him that you cant see, or maybe I am completly wrong.
