I received a short nosed gar and a clown knife fish tonight.
The problem I am having is the clown knife is floating. I dont recall anything about swim bladders but could his have gotten messed up? The gar is just laying around which is what they do. So Im not sure if it was my acclimation or the knife got messed up somewhere along the line. The story is below.
They are both around a foot long. The trip was only 6 blocks. I let them drip acclimate for a good half hour to fourty five minutes. I am worried either I let them sit too long in the bucket or the previous owner let them sit in a bucket too long. I told him I would be there between 8 and 8:30 and the fish were in buckets at around 7:50 when I actually showed up. So it worried me that he may have had them in there too long.
The tank is a 110. They will be moved to a 250 in the next week. Ummmmm I dont know what else to include to help.
