clown knife.....royal knife......which is bigger

alright as everyone knows there is the clown knife fish and the royal knife fish, does anyone know which of the two will potentially get the biggest, for istance does the ck max out at 39 while the royal tends to get much bigger, idk, im just wondering here

FishBase says 120cm max for both fish, so I don't think there's much of a difference, if any.

yeah they both get HUGE prob differs from one fish to the next, but one article i found said they both can reach up to 5 feet.......I don't know about that though! LOL

RCKs can get slightly larger than CKs. I think I remember reading that CKs can max out at 39" and RCKs around 42" I believe these measurements are records and not averages. The 5' Knife would be Chitala Lopis and again...I believe that measurement is a record and not an average.

Right, RCK is bigger but Chitala lopis is biggest.

i must say its been a while since ive seen a RCK. is it possible they grow a tad slower than regular clowns? my friend had some, and i followed suit and bought one and before long mine had outgrown his by a lot.

might have been hindered by the lima cats he had in there too. tank was kind of crowded.
