Clown Knife Soup, $3/lb

my buddy sent me this pic from one of the asian supermarkets he visits a lot. ive seen tinfoil barbs and fire eels for sale, but never a clown knife. looks tasty

I can't help but imagine an Asian family going into a supermarket saying, "I wonder what that 'featherback fish' would taste like."

yeah ive seen these at my local asian mart too. so weird

I have seen featherback, barbs, and "gouramy" in jars at the Asian market. I don't think I would by any and try it though, I can't eat fish that I have alive in my own house...though I might think otherwise if I had a pet salmon, lobster, or shrimp.
