clown knife spotting

I picked up a 10" clown knife yesterday free with another deal. Upon bringing him home I noticed that he has 4 spots on one side and 3 on the other. Having never seen or previously owned a clown knife I was wondering if an odd number of spots on one side is common or uncommon.

eh i'll say uncommon because ive only seen one like that once in person.

My ck has 3 on one side and none on the other. Kind of reminds me of a Steelers helmet.

It's pretty common. There are so many different spottings on CKs. You'll almost never find one exactly alike.

yeah pretty common, mine has 4 spots on one side and 5 spots on the other

if you find a clown with the exact smae spotting on each side then you got a gem...

no pics but he makes an appearance in this video. Watch closely both sides are visible but only for a short period of time.

no need to worry. this is very common.
i've had one's with 5 on one side and 9 on the other.
also, as they grow, they form more spots anyways.
