Here's the deal,
I currently have a couple of aro's in a 560g and I am growing out some cichla in a 100g.
After my cichla get a little size and I get them off live food I will be putting them in the 560g.
At that point my 100g will be open and I was thinking about getting a clownknife to growout that will eventually be going in the 560g.
The only way I will do so is if you guys can tell me if yall think will work aggresionwise.
I will have to get it eating other than live food and be shure it will not kill my aro's or cichla.

So what do you guys think YAY or NAY?

My CK gets along great with my Mono Pbass and Red O. He just keeps to himself and hides in all his hiding spots. Comes out to eat and swim around occasionally through out the day, and at night. Can't comment on the Aro's aggression though. Never kept one of them.

Good tankmates for your clown knife are fish that also have a peaceful or semi aggressive temperament and are not too aggressive where they will nip your clown knife's fins. Also, pick tankmates that are too large for your clown knife to eat.

Thanks guys, I am more worried about the aggresiveness of the clown over the aro's and cichla. They are only concerned with food and are not aggresive to others at all but I never had them with a clown before.

Clown Knives are generally not aggressive, they are actually pretty timid; UNLESS you house them with other clown knives, then they can be quite aggressive.

Also, What is the best method to getting clowns off of live food, I had one a couple of years ago that ended up dieing due to disease from feeders. I am only now getting the nerve to try again.

I am not sure there is a 'best method' to getting your clown knife off live food; but I just finally got my clown knife to accept frozen brine shrimp about a week ago. What I did was I turned off the light on my fish tank and any light in the room so he knows its feeding time, then I dropped a couple cubes of frozen brine shrimp in and a couple minutes later, he eats them.

Thanks bro, just out of curiosoty how big is he?

I have my 24"+ clown in with aro dats rays gars. Ive had him for 3 years got him at 4". Feed in the dark small pieces of cut up shrimp. Enventually it will take. Mine will chase the others once in a while but looks more like playful chase then trying to hurt any of them.
