this is terrible you have a fish in a tank thats hardly 2x his size

The tank does sound a tad small but dont forget CKF are known to flexible agile swimmers. Mine is only about 9'and is a 55 gallon tank but he will be moved to 75 gallon once he reaches 12'. He spends the day doing twists and summersaults and will feed out of your hands.
