i want to know can i put a Clown Knifefish in a 160 gallon tank with an oscar and a jack dempsey

make sure the clown knife isnt a juvenile or he will get punked on. even when hes bigger, he may have a hard time getting an adequete amount of food. i kept mine alone until he was 10-11" then he moved in with some gars and a jardini arowana. hes 25 inches now.

And don't get the opposite JD to make a pair the 160 we picked up for my buddy had Mono Argentus 6", Snowflake 18", Full grown Pair of breeding Dempseys 5" and 8", And the pride of the tank WAS an 18" CLown knife.. The JD's Killed it over night after they fry hatched... The guy had the tank specifically for the KNife and so he sold it to us for real cheap out of spite at the JD's. They also kiled a red ear slider two days before we picked it up!! Other than that my opinion would be GO for it

How big do CK get? I always thought they got huge but alot of people seem to keep them in fairly small tanks for wat size I thought they got.

They're said to reach 39" but I think 24" is more realistic, at least in captivity.

at the LFS today, they had an albino clown that must have been 30"
