I know this question been ask to many time already but oh well, here it goes again.

I got my 120g 4x2x2 up and running now cycling. I got about 30 plus Clown L :WHOA:coming this weekend range from 3"-9" the biggest:WHOA:. I know atleast 9 of them are over 7-8".:naughty:

Out of that 30 or so i will pick 20 best, looking, biggest, and odd pattern/bar.

now my question is want is good tankmate with them? fish that will not eat the Clown L. please give me a list of what fish can and can NOT live with CL???:D

Some of my favorites are angels, discus, rainbows and dats.

Avoid anything that might try and eat the loaches. It can result in the death of both fish. :(

no larger cats. I had 4 cl's with a 6-7 inch jaguar cat = no loaches.

Discus,Dats,Frontosa,

my new favorite Geos.

i got 2 13-14" ST but im not going to put them in together. the ST will swallow the loach real easy.

maybe some small dats.

what about small Jar? you think it will outgrow the tank and eat the loach later?

i like the sound of the discuss......tempting.

I had a 24" jar that I was afraid to try and put in with loaches. He pretty much tried to kill anything that wasn't him. lol

The discus are cool. I really like the irian rainbows I have with my large group. They add a lot of activity to the loaches.

I heard that CL are very slow grow, how slow it slow? i mean what is the average?

Around 2 years to get them from 1" to 4-5". After that it takes, what seems like forever, for them to grow an inch. I know mine are growing, it's just nothing that you really notice until you look at picture from 6 months ago. lol

Barbs will be my suggestion, nothing else. At this rate, you will need to increase the water volume replaced and filtration to cope with the wastes.

I agree with lupin, there are many fish that will get along with Clown loaches but you don't have the room for that many loaches let alone anything else.

I have my cloaches in with a fire eel, festae, bumblebee cat, salvini, and a bunch of bristlenose plecos with no problems everyone gets along just fine.
