I'm planning to add some Clown Loaches to my Bass tank, and my existing Bass are around 5 inches in size. My question is, do they get along due to Loaches being a such peaceful fish.

Thanks in advance.

If it can fit in a peacock's mouth, it will eat it regardless if the fish are peaceful.

I'm not asking if its going to become an expensive treat, if i add a small Loach to my bass tank, i'm just asking anyone that has had Loaches with there Bass, and how did it work out, and was it a Good or Bad tankmate.

Don't waste the money. They will get easten.

I think the general basis here is they won't have the oportunity to be a tank mate after the P Bass eats them. As far as I've seen CL can get along with any tank mate and I've seen cichlid have no problems with CL as tank mates provided the CL doesn't get eaten. :)

Here's the thing, Clown loaches grow incredibly slow and cichla are known to get huge very quickly. Sooner or later the bass will be big enough to eat the loach.

or while the loach is going down the bass's throat out come the eye knives choking and killing youre bass

Ok,

Well I will be the black sheep on this thread!!! I hade CL's with my P-bass for years. When i purchased my CL's they were about 3-4". My Pbass where about the same when i introduced them into the tank with the CL's. My CL's grew to about 6" and my P's were twice that size. the only loach i lost to another fish was a CL to my RTC+TSN cross. He was like 16" and ate 1 of them, and never touched another one. The CL's tend to stay on the bottom (for the most part) and the P's were ever where else. Thats just me and my tank i dont have the right answers i can just tell you what worked for me.
